Taumarunui Squash Club has a long history in the town. The club was originally located at Cherry Grove and part of the Eels Rugby and Sports Club. Following a fire in 1981 the new club rooms were built on Turaki Street in 1982 next to the rugby fields and netball courts.  The fourth court was added in 1989. All courts have glass backs and the club currently has over 100 members.  The club has eftpos on site, large men’s and ladie’s change rooms, open plan lounge, on line court booking system through Hello Club.
